EACH confirmed as official charity for Lodestar Festival

We are very pleased at LodeStar to be supporting East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and we are working hard for this great charity. We feel their work is so helpful to the families as a whole. EACH offer wonderful facilities and importantly wonderful caring staff. We invite you to book tickets for LodeStar, enjoy the fun activities, live music and family entertainment we have for you to raise the needed funds for EACH, let’s do this together!

The charity says, “East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) is thrilled to be the chosen charity partner for this year’s LodeStar Festival in Cambridge.”

EACH supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Their family centred approach includes specialist nursing care, short breaks, therapies and counselling; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family. As a charity EACH offer families flexibility and control over where they receive their care and support; at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton (Cambridge), Quidenham (Norfolk) and The Treehouse (Ipswich). More than half of the care and support provided is delivered in the family home and community, in surroundings familiar and comfortable for the family.

EACH’s hospices aren’t just about end of life care; they’re often very happy and fun places, where young people can live life to their full potential. When time is short, EACH helps families make the most of their precious time together and create memories that last forever. EACH will have a stand at the festival running fun activities and collections will be held throughout – please pop along to say hello and give generously to the bucket collections.

Neil Hamilton-Meikle EACH Cambridgeshire Corporate Fundraiser, said: “We are delighted that LodeStar Festival has chosen to support EACH this year and we look forward to being involved in the festival. EACH has a strong affiliation with music and we know the importance it has in people’s lives. We offer music therapy session as a way of connecting with the children young people and families that we work with and our music therapists are constantly looking for new ways to use music. We are looking forward to immersing ourselves in full festival spirit and hope to work with Doug and his team for many years to come.”
