Bish Bash Box Storytellers come to LodeStar 2012!

Bish Bash Box Storytellers will be performing two interactive family shows, 'Hansel and Gretel' and 'The Selfish Giant'.  There will be a break between the two where the children can work with the performers to make the instruments needed for the second story, giving parents the opportunity to sit back and indulge in some eating of homemade cake.

Bish Bash Box Storytellers' are an interactive,
performance based children's storytelling theatre company.

The company was founded in 2010 and by professional actors  Hester Kent, Rachel Copsey and George Meyrick.

Our mission is to pass traditional storytelling on to a new generation, by re-igniting children's love for reading, through interactive based performance, using a narrator and original staging concepts, including the travellers chest from which each story unfolds.

The company values itself on our abilities to bring imagination, theatricality and fantasy to each story.  With minimal set needed, we bring a story to life through breaking the fourth wall with heightened characters, handmade props (we created a 'rippling stream' with material and string), and an educational twist, concluding each performance with a workshop, that gets the children to work in small groups led by each performer, to create and present their own stories.
