The Alan Norton Archery Range
-try out your archery skills with one of Cambridge’s finest bowmen!
Alan says
I have been a Scout Leader for 20 years and dabbled in archery for nearly the same amount of time. So one day I thought it would be good to combine two of my passions, Scouting and Archery. In 2000 I received a lottery grant to buy and set up a mobile Archery range for the Scouts in our District. I have done archery for many years and shoot with the City of Cambridge bowmen. But my main pleasure is teaching people to shoot in a way that they enjoy it.
I use the mobile archery range to go to camps as well as Scout nights; I also do some fund raising events to cover replacements and insurance.
I teach approx 600 people a year on ‘come try it’ days or camps so why not come over to LodeStar and have a go!
In supporting the Scout movement the Archery Range will be asking for a modest payment.
