THE DATSUNS are a rock n roll band from Cambridge, New Zealand!
They formed in 2000 and have been active ever since touring the globe and releasing four albums. They have been compared by MTV to the likes of Jet, The Hives and Division of Laura Lee and stated to be influenced by AC/DC, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. The band released their debut album in 2002 going Gold in the UK. Another three albums have been released since, Outta Sight/Outta Mind – 2004, Smoke & Mirrors – 2006 and their last release was Headstunts in 2008.
Their fifth album has been tracked at Gutterview Recorders in Stockholm and is currently being mixed.
The new album is due to be released September / October of this year.
